The Lubavitcher Rebbe
“With a proper education, one can evoke within a child of only four or five years of age, a powerful thirst for spirituality and G-dliness.”
our Mission
The mission of the Chabad Learning Foundation is implementing the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Chinuch directives in Early childhood education and in Women's education in order to create a dwelling place for Hashem in this physical world. Our mission is based on the assumption that Children in their purest form are vessels to accept these directives up to whatever extent we make them readily available to them (their parents, educators, and school environment). Implementation
The younger we reach children and the earlier we educate mothers and educators, the more successful we will be in the process of implementing Yiddishkeit in young hearts. Young children as we know are fully formed by age 3, from then on our work is to re-educate if the process was not proper beforehand. The Chabad Learning Foundation endeavors to connect with facilities who influence young children and parents and partner with them in order to effectively create programs which will provide content needed (age appropriate) in order to reach this goal of implementing the Rebbe’s directives as early as possible. In my line of work as an educational director in Shlichus preschools I have seen many children come and go and might never again be under the influence of Jewish education. If we fail to imprint Yiddishkeit properly in their Neshamas while we have them enrolled even if they are infants, we might miss the opportunity to kindle a jewish soul. Since time is of essence, we must strive to create programs that can be applied as early as infancy.
''Life is the most precious thing we have. Everyone wants to live a life of meaning. But we are so busy 'living' that we don't have a moment to really think about living. One of my priorities was getting people to ask the big questions in life, to get out of the pettiness and focus on living a life of real purpose.''
